I always had a love for music starting back in the 70’s and 80’s. For some reason I could not get with the concept of listening to one song in the headphones and another song coming through the speakers. The digital era helped me understand beat matching, so in the year 2000 I bought a set of CDJ’s and a mixer. I started playing local parties for family and friends and overtime what was once a hobby became a part of my life. The experience I received in the backyards led me to the next level.
The next stage for DJing began when Serato came out. I was able to grab the digital concept. I began to understand further the concept of beat matching. I took my playing to the clubs, private events, and schools. The demand for me as a DJ boosted my confidence and I got better. I still practice 2 to 3 hours a day.
I am not that DJ that started on 1200’s, and I will always respect that era. I take my hat off to you guys. I am a Digital DJ using Pioneer CDJ’s, and Controllers with Serato DJ.
